I need to model a CMOS image sensor (CIS) containing a large array of pixels. Do you have any example I can start with?
Yes! From the links below, you can download an application note and package of an example model describing the CMOS image sensor (CIS) published in the ISSCC 2006 paper titled, "High-Speed Digital Double Sampling with Analog CDS on Column Parallel ADC Architecture for Low-Noise Active Pixel Sensor," authored by Yoshikazu Nitta, et al.:
This application note shows that XMODEL can perform efficient simulation of a CIS containing a massive array of analog circuits and digital logic all in SystemVerilog. In particular, the application note demonstrates how to keep the simulation time short as the pixel array size grows. By using a set of equivalent modeling approaches, the presented model achieves the simulation time of 24 minutes reading a 1920*1440 image.
